Article - How to Integrate Technology

I love all the suggestions this article gives for using technology in the classroom. Because all classrooms are not created equally It's hard to know how to use technology with what is available. Before reading this article I was thinking I don't have a lot of technology in My Classroom. While I was reading this I was thinking I do have technology I just need to utilize the tech I do have. I do have a smartboard and access to a cart of laptops for my who class. I loved the idea of having one of the students be the class scribe. the students could rotate through and this could be a class one of the class jobs for the day. This article really made me want to work some of the theses ideas into my lessons.

Philosophy of Education

Philosophy of Education Learning is part of human nature. It is going to happen regardless of where a child is. The question is what and how that child is going to learn. When I was younger I had severe ear problems that affected my hearing which in turn affected my reading and spelling abilities. I was very uncomfortable in school because of this. I struggled a lot and never did well in those subjects. For my fifth-grade year, my dad and mom decided to homeschool me. They had me do a phonics program as part of my schooling. I did this for half of the school year. That half of the year my mom helped me see the importance of learning and that it could be fun. Looking back on that experiences I can see what my mom did for me. She gave me a safe learning environment, made sure I felt loved and gave me a firm stepping stone to knowledge in reading.
