Post Lesson Reflection 3
1. Instructional Decisions/Teaching
(InTask Standard # 9):
o What went
well and what didn't go well during the implementation of your lesson? I think the
lesson went well. Everyone seemed to enjoy creating their own cartoon.
o How well
was the alignment of objectives and standards maintained? They were
well aligned. The primary objective was for students to understand the what the moral
of a fable is and to create their own fable with a moral.
2. Mechanics:
o What
technologies did I use (for the teacher and the learner)? As the
teacher we used Prezi to present the lesson. The students used an app to create
a cartoon.
o My lesson
was within the correct time frame Yes? I wasn’t paying attention to
the clock.
3. Assessment of Learning (InTask
Standard # 6)
o Describe
the level of success you had in teaching the lesson
§ How do your
reflections support this? The lesson went well. Everyone enjoyed playing
around with Prezi. Overall the experience was a success.
4. What did you learn from designing
and teaching this lesson and how will you use this in the creation of future
lessons/learning activities.
What I
learned from creating this lesson is that there are lessons already designed
and it doesn't take much to find them and implement them in the classroom. It doesn’t take much to add
technology into a lesson.
Part I
1.
Now that you have
completed ETC 447, reread your first blog post (philosophy of education and use
of technology).
2.
In a paragraph or more
describe how and why ( or why not) your philosophy of education has changed
during the semester.
3.
In a paragraph or more
describe how your understanding of "technology
integration" has changed AND provide examples of how you now
think you will use technology in your classroom.
My philosophy hasn’t changed but my understanding of technology
has improved. I admit technology is or was a little intimidating to me this
class has helped me play around with a few websites and apps that will be and
are very helpful form me in my classes.
